This project translates Hofler’s poem into a visual response that balances atmosphere, symbolism, and respect for the text. I created a poster and postcard that preserve the poem’s tone across formats, using composition and color to echo its themes without over-illustrating them.
The challenge was honoring the poem’s gravity without reducing it to literal imagery. I aimed to create a design that held space for grief, divinity, and complexity while remaining visually compelling and appropriate for a gallery setting.
